Things to Do While Staying at Home. By Rev. Charlie Davis

As we enter our third week of social distancing, some of us may begin to feel lonely. There are only so many shows worth bing watching. The house can only get so clean. As social animals, we begin to miss fellowship. Merriam-Webster defines fellowship as “a community of interest, activity, feeling, or experience.” Part of that experience is being together. Our thanks to all who have joined us on our Sunday Facebook streams. But there is more than we can do. The phone company used to use the metaphor “reach out and touch someone” That is still possible today. What if each of us made five calls per day. And each of those who we called “touched” five more. Fellowship will spread. You can talk to each other about who needs a call. Check our directory, and call someone you do not know so well. The shut-down gives you a perfect excuse to expand your social circle. If you do not have a directory call someone who might and get a few phone numbers from them.

For those who need a task or a game I have invented UUFNB BINGO. See how quickly you can fill your card. Put a person’s name under each category. One name can only be used 3 times per card.
