In the Book of Ecclesiastes in Jewish and Christian scripture we read, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens... a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing... a time to be silent and a time to speak...." Knowing one time from the other is called emotional literacy, and does not always come naturally, but all of us can learn.
