Unitarian Universalists tend to resist authoritarian leadership. Blind trust in a messiah or his representative is not the goal of our movement. We try to build consensus and proceed in an egalitarian manner. Being a UU minister is NOT like herding cats. It is like herding sheepdogs who are also trying to herd. How do we transform that passion and energy into effective action.
