160 years ago this week, Rabindranath Tagore was born in Calcutta. He was educated in England and became a prolific poet, songwriter, novelist, and essayist. He promoted a Unitarian form of Hinduism and was instrumental in freeing India from Colonialism. He also had influence on American Unitarianism.
