A personal reflection on a book by Henri Nouwen. I encountered this book while I was doing and internship in hospital chaplaincy. It taught me that ministers are not heroes who use super powers to rescue people. Recognizing one's own vulnerability gives a minister access to empathy which helps people save themselves.
