It is, perhaps, no great coincidence that much of our spiritual language has to do with eating and drinking. We "nourish" our spirits; we "thirst" for truth and knowledge. Food does not only fuel our bodies; food connects us to our cultures and to the land that we reside on. What and how we eat says a great deal about who we are. And so, what does the church potluck say about us? On this morning, we will examine the tradition of the church potluck and how it functions as an example of how we practice multicultural Beloved Community.
